Below is a series of videos I created, sharing my personal journey with Emotional Intelligence and the decision to give myself more space and time to enjoy life. I hope my experiences will be useful to you.

My approach to working with emotions is rooted in my studies and practice of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), also known as Collaborative Communication. My work in Needs-Based Awareness began with a tool I became aware of in NVC, I call it OFNR (“off-ner”) Observation, Feeling, Need, Request. With Needs Based Awareness the a focus is on the first three steps: Observation, Feeling, and Need. I believe that emotional awareness—or emotional intelligence—is a valuable tool for better understanding ourselves and others.
